ST 100

Applications

Border patrol
Having a network of low cost drones that can be immediately stationed along an unsecured portion of a border for many months at a time would be very advantageous, not only for the American border with Mexico, but also for various other borders globally where solar activity permits year-round operation. Tandem thermal and optical payloads would permit high resolution, 24-hour surveillance of border activity on a level that is not possible with any other drone technology. Imagery would be accessed in real time via 4G or 5G networks, or via a meshed network where cell coverage is sporadic.

Defense ISR Drone (Intelligence, Reconnaissance, Surveillance)
Passive remote surveillance of positions of military interest is currently served sporadically by much more expensive drone platforms. Much of this surveillance can be affected more efficiently and at a much lower cost with the ST 100 platform. In addition, the ST 100, with its silent propulsion system, is able to operate at low altitude under cloud cover without being detected. Indeed, the ST 100 can collect high-resolution thermal imagery at night under 500 feet of altitude without being seen or heard, as it is inaudible at a distance of 200 ft. No other drone platform, at any cost, currently offers this capability.

Fire detection
With global warming, the urgency to offer a means of early detection of wildfires has become increasingly urgent. Competing platforms require significant infrastructure investments to be effective. The ST 100 platform requires no investment beyond the platform itself. A single ST 100 could detect a wildfire within seconds over an area of 50 square miles while operating at an altitude of 2500 ft.

Security
Any large area that needs active 24-hour surveillance can be treated very effectively with the Solara drone. A single ST 100 can continuously survey an area as large as 50 square miles day and night, or even larger areas sporadically.
Such areas could include:
Game reserves – protection against poachers, and others
- Private properties – protection against intruders
- Military operations – protection against intrusion, observation
- Coastal surveillance – protection or early warning of intrusion (Saudi Arabia protection from Houti Rebel drone strikes, for example)
